Day by day
Entebbe → Lake Mburo
Depart for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda's smallest savanna reserve. Afternoon game drive across open acacia woodland in search of zebra, eland and impala, species unique to this park within Uganda.
Lake Mburo → Bwindi
Morning boat safari on Lake Mburo for hippo pods and fish eagles before the long, scenic drive south to Bwindi through Uganda's terraced highlands. Evening briefing on the following day's gorilla trek.
Gorilla Trekking Day
Early departure to the park headquarters for the ranger briefing, then set off into the forest to find your assigned gorilla family. One hour is spent in their company once located.
Bwindi at Leisure
A free day to recover from the trek — options include a guided nature walk, a visit to a local Batwa community, or simply resting at the lodge overlooking the forest.
Departure
Transfer back towards Entebbe, or connect onward to your next destination.
